The Chicago Bulls are adding another undrafted prospect after agreeing to an Exhibit 10 contract with former Texas Tech guard Donovan Atwell.

Atwell spent his first three collegiate seasons at UNC Greensboro before transferring to Texas Tech for his senior year, where he emerged as one of the nation’s top perimeter shooters.

The 6-foot-5 guard averaged 13.5 points while connecting on an outstanding 45.8 percent of his three-point attempts, taking more than eight shots per game from beyond the arc.

A left-handed sharpshooter, Atwell finished his college career as a 41.5 percent three-point shooter and an 89.6 percent free-throw shooter, giving him a reputation as an elite floor spacer despite rarely getting to the foul line.

The Exhibit 10 agreement gives Atwell an opportunity to compete for a two-way contract during training camp or continue his development with the Windy City Bulls, Chicago’s G League affiliate.
