The Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault decided to make a lineup adjustment in search of more offensive energy, inserting Jared McCain into the starting unit ahead of Cason Wallace.

According to Jenni Carlson of The Oklahoman, the change appeared to immediately help lift the team out of its offensive struggles.

Even though McCain started slowly individually, his spacing and activity helped create cleaner opportunities for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Holmgren early in the game.

The duo combined for 15 points in the opening quarter as Oklahoma City found a much better rhythm offensively.

McCain ultimately delivered an impressive performance in his first playoff start, scoring 20 points while logging 33 minutes and providing the offensive spark Daigneault was hoping to find.
