The Oklahoma City Thunder will take the floor for Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals with one notable health question hanging over the matchup. Jalen Williams is listed as questionable with a left hamstring injury, while Ajay Mitchell and Thomas Sorber are out, according to the official injury report.
Game 6 tips at 8:30 p.m. ET on Thursday at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, with the Thunder holding a 3-2 lead in the series. The Spurs, by contrast, do not have any players on their injury report, which gives them a clean availability sheet for a game that could extend the series to a decisive seventh contest.
Williams’ status matters because Oklahoma City has already leaned heavily on its top-end talent and two-way depth throughout the playoffs. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 28.0 points and 8.2 assists per game in the postseason, while Chet Holmgren has added 16.2 points and 8.3 rebounds, giving the Thunder a strong interior and perimeter presence at both ends.
The Thunder have also gotten meaningful production from role players who can swing a playoff game, including Alex Caruso, who is averaging 11.2 points and shooting 47.7 percent from three, and Isaiah Hartenstein, who is posting 8.8 rebounds per game.
That volatility has been clear over the last five games. The Spurs opened the series with a 122-115 win in double overtime, but the Thunder answered with three victories in the next four games, including a 127-114 win in Game 5 that put them one step from the NBA Finals.
San Antonio has had its own stars carrying the load, led by Victor Wembanyama’s 22.9 points, 11.1 rebounds and 3.7 blocks per game in the playoffs. De’Aaron Fox and Stephon Castle have also been central to the Spurs’ offense, and their full health gives San Antonio a real opportunity to pressure Oklahoma City on its home floor.
