Steve Kerr agreeing to a new two-year extension with the Golden State Warriors could also have a major impact on the future of Draymond Green.

According to reports, Green is now viewed as more likely to stay in Golden State with Kerr continuing as head coach.

The veteran forward holds a $27.7 million player option for next season and must decide by June 29 whether to exercise it or enter free agency.

There is also a possibility Green could decline the option and negotiate a new long-term agreement with the Warriors that lowers his yearly salary while adding more guaranteed seasons.

Team sources reportedly have made it clear that Golden State has no interest in moving on from Green, either through a trade or by allowing him to leave in free agency.

The organization still values Green highly because of his defense, leadership, and on-court communication, with Kerr continuing to rely on him almost like an extra assistant coach during games.
