Luka Doncic is unlikely to be available for a potential second-round matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Oklahoma City Thunder if Los Angeles advances past the Houston Rockets.

He has been sidelined since April 2 due to a hamstring injury and still has no clear timeline for a return.

“My understanding is it is a slow path on the recovery path,” said Shams Charania on ESPN on Tuesday.

Before the injury, Doncic put together another elite season, averaging 33.5 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 8.3 assists in 35.8 minutes over 64 games, a campaign that is expected to earn him a sixth All-NBA First Team selection.
