The Oklahoma City Thunder closed out the Phoenix Suns’ season with a 131-122 win in Game 4 on Monday night, finishing a first-round sweep at Mortgage Matchup Center.

Top-seeded Oklahoma City extended its recent playoff dominance, improving to 12-0 in first-round games over the past three seasons.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the way with 31 points on 10-of-17 shooting, adding eight assists to control the game’s tempo from the perimeter.

Chet Holmgren delivered a two-way impact with 24 points and 12 rebounds, while Isaiah Hartenstein added 18 points and 12 boards, including seven offensive rebounds that created extra possessions.

The Thunder’s interior presence proved decisive, as both big men consistently finished inside and extended plays against a smaller Phoenix front line.

Oklahoma City’s spacing complemented that inside production, knocking down 17 of 34 shots from beyond the arc for 50%.

Ajay Mitchell contributed 22 points and four 3-pointers, while Alex Caruso scored 14 and hit three triples in the opening quarter to set the tone early.

The Thunder built a 75-67 halftime lead behind efficient shooting, hitting 61.4% from the field and 12 of 20 from 3-point range in the first half.

Gilgeous-Alexander scored 17 before the break, including a late three that capped a high-efficiency offensive half.

Phoenix stayed within reach early by matching perimeter shooting, with Collin Gillespie scoring 17 first-half points and making five 3-pointers without a miss.

The Suns made 11 of their first 20 attempts from deep, but their efficiency dropped after halftime as Oklahoma City tightened defensive rotations.

Devin Booker led Phoenix with 24 points and scored 12 in the third quarter, helping cut the deficit to 106-98 entering the fourth.

Dillon Brooks and Jalen Green added 23 points each, while Gillespie finished with 20 on six made 3-pointers.

Each time Phoenix closed the gap, Oklahoma City responded with timely execution.

Cason Wallace’s corner three pushed the lead to 120-106 with under six minutes left, followed by a contested finish from Gilgeous-Alexander that halted momentum.

The Thunder maintained control late by generating quality shots and limiting turnovers, finishing with 28 assists on 44 made field goals.

Phoenix’s loss extended its playoff losing streak to 10 games, dating back to 2023.

Oklahoma City now advances to the Western Conference semifinals and will face the winner of the Los Angeles Lakers-Houston Rockets series, where Los Angeles holds a 3-1 edge.

The Thunder played without Jalen Williams for a second straight game due to a hamstring injury, while Phoenix was missing Mark Williams and Jordan Goodwin.
