FC Bayern Munich secured an 85-80 victory over Virtus Bologna on Tuesday, fueled by a career night from David McCormack, who scored 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds.

Bayern built an early lead with strong paint scoring and efficient ball movement, but Virtus fought back behind Matt Morgan’s six three-pointers, sending the teams into halftime tied at 43-43.

In the second half, timely triples from Justinian Jessup and Neno Dimitrijevic helped the German side regain control. Dimitrijevic finished with 11 points and 10 assists, while Andi Obst added 11 points and nine assists as Bayern totaled 26 team assists.

McCormack’s dominance inside and precise finishing under the basket set the tone for the win, allowing Bayern to sustain its high-tempo offense and offset Virtus’s perimeter shooting. Isiaha Mike contributed 12 points in the second half, providing a key boost for the visitors.

Bayern shot 59% from two-point range and made 10 of 26 three-point attempts, with Jessup going 4-of-7 for 12 points. The team also capitalized on Virtus’s turnovers, limiting transition opportunities and maintaining control in the closing minutes.

Virtus, missing injured guard Luca Vildoza, relied on Morgan’s 28-point performance and contributions from Derrick Alston Jr. (13 points) and Carsen Edwards (12 points), but it marked the club’s seventh consecutive EuroLeague loss.

FC Bayern Munich will visit Milan in Round 37 before closing the regular season at FC Barcelona on April 17. Virtus Bologna hosts Kosner Baskonia on April 10 and travels to Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv on April 16.
