Victor Wembanyama scored 41 points, grabbed 18 rebounds, and blocked three shots, leading the San Antonio Spurs to a 127-113 victory over the Golden State Warriors Wednesday at Chase Center.

The Spurs extended their winning streak to 10 games, with Wembanyama hitting 16 of 22 from the field and recording his fourth 40-point performance this season.

De’Aaron Fox contributed 11 points despite briefly leaving the game after taking a shot to the face, while seven Spurs players reached double figures.

Nate Williams led Golden State with 18 points, LJ Cryer added 17, and Brandin Podziemski contributed 14 points, six rebounds, and five assists in the absence of Stephen Curry, who has missed 26 straight games due to a right knee injury.

San Antonio surged early, with Wembanyama scoring 10 of the team’s first 14 points to help the Spurs jump to a 17-3 lead in the opening minutes. The team finished with a 47 percent field-goal rate and made 15 of 47 three-pointers.

Seth Curry scored 12 points off the bench for the Warriors, returning after missing eight games with a strained left inner thigh. Kristaps Porzingis, Gary Payton II, and Gui Santos were sidelined, while Al Horford missed his 10th straight game with a calf strain.

San Antonio improved to 58-18, closing the gap on the idle Oklahoma City Thunder (60-16) in the race for the top seed in the Western Conference. Golden State fell to 36-40 and remains on the outside of the playoff picture.

The Spurs conclude a road back-to-back Thursday against the Los Angeles Clippers, while the Warriors host the Cleveland Cavaliers the same night.
