Rio 2016 hosts Brazil have announced their final roster for the summer games but they will be without the services of Tiago Splitter, who is recovering from hip surgery and point guard Larry Taylor, who starred at the London Olympics, four years ago.

Without Splitter, the Brazilians will rely on Houston Rockets big man Nene and fellow centers Rafael Hettsheimeir, Anderson Verejao of the Golden State Warriors and Augusto Lima in Rio as they aim to go one better than previous Olympic hosts Great Britain, and advance to the quarter-finals via the groups.

Brazil have plenty of NBA experience on their roster along with Nene and Verejao as Phoenix Suns guard Leandro Barbosa and Los Angeles Lakers’ Marcelinho Huertas are also included in the 12-man roster.

Note: Since Brazil’s final roster was announced, Anderson Verejao ruled himself out with a back injury, Cristiano Felicia will be his replacement.
