The New York Knicks travel to Houston on Tuesday to face the Rockets at the Toyota Center at 8:00 PM ET, bringing a roster impacted by several injuries.
New York will be without Landry Shamet, who is sidelined with a right knee tibial plateau contusion, while Miles McBride, Ariel Hukporti, and Dillon Jones are listed as questionable.
McBride, recovering from pelvic and core muscle surgery, has appeared in 36 games this season, averaging 12.5 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. Shamet’s absence removes a 9.6-point-per-game contributor from the lineup.
Houston faces its own setbacks, missing Steven Adams and Fred VanVleet to injuries. Adams, recovering from left ankle surgery, has contributed 5.8 points and 8.6 rebounds per game, while VanVleet’s ACL repair keeps him off the floor for the Rockets. Two-way players Isaiah Crawford and Tristen Newton are also unavailable.
The Rockets have won their last two games, including a 134-102 victory over New Orleans and a 119-109 win against Memphis.
Houston’s lineup will rely heavily on Kevin Durant and Alperen Sengun, who are averaging 25.9 and 20.7 points per game, respectively, while Amen Thompson adds 17.9 points and 7.9 rebounds per game.
New York comes off consecutive losses, falling 100-111 at Oklahoma City and 103-114 against Charlotte.
The Knicks’ starting five remains anchored by Brunson, Bridges, OG Anunoby, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Josh Hart, who collectively provide scoring, rebounding, and defensive versatility.
Tuesday marks the second meeting this season between the teams, following a 108-106 win for New York on February 21.
The Knicks are positioned third in the Eastern Conference at 48-27, while the Rockets sit sixth in the West at 45-29.
