After being sidelined for three weeks with a finger injury, Tyrese Maxey was eager to return – and made an immediate impact once he got back on the court Saturday.
The sixth-year guard finished with 26 points on 10-of-18 shooting, adding seven rebounds and eight assists.
He stepped up in the fourth quarter as well, contributing seven points, four rebounds, and three assists to help Philadelphia secure a key road victory.
“I let the game come to me at the beginning,” Maxey said. “Everybody was like, ‘Dude, all right. We know you just got back. Come on, let’s play.’ And I was like, ‘I got you.'”
Joel Embiid and Paul George were also available, marking the first time since January 29 that all three, Maxey, Embiid, and George, shared the court for the Sixers.
