The Memphis Grizzlies have signed French forward Adama Bal to a 10-day contract, NBA insider Michael Scotto reported on March 28. Bal, who stands 6-foot-7, spent the 2025-26 season with the Westchester Knicks in the G League, averaging 7.4 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.0 assists over 29 games.
Bal was a two-time All-WCC First Team selection at Santa Clara before beginning his professional career with Centre Fédéral de Basket-ball in 2020. His addition gives Memphis depth at forward as the team navigates a series of season-ending injuries.
The Grizzlies have been hit hard by absences this season. Key players Santi Aldama, Ja Morant, Zach Edey, Brandon Clarke, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Scotty Pippen Jr. are all sidelined for the remainder of the campaign. Ty Jerome, Jaylen Wells, and Jahmai Mashack are listed as day-to-day.
Bal’s shooting numbers in the G League reflect areas for improvement. He made 35.5% of his field goals and 28.7% of three-point attempts while logging 18.4 minutes per game.
The Grizzlies currently hold a 25-49 record in the Western Conference, sitting 11th out of playoff contention. Their roster has leaned on young contributors like Cedric Coward, Jaylen Wells, and GG Jackson II to fill gaps created by injuries.
