Stephen Curry continues to recover from a right knee injury and is expected to be reevaluated sometime next week, according to Shams Charania and Anthony Slater of ESPN.
The Golden State Warriors guard will miss upcoming games against the Washington Wizards on Friday and the Denver Nuggets on Sunday, extending his absence that began on January 30 due to patellofemoral pain syndrome, commonly referred to as runner’s knee.
Although Curry, who recently turned 38, “continues to make good progress,” the team noted that he has not yet taken part in full 5-on-5 scrimmages.
According to the Warriors, that step is expected to happen in the “coming days.”
Despite being sidelined for nearly two months, with his absence set to reach 25 straight games after Sunday, Curry is still hopeful about a possible return before the end of the season, sources told ESPN.
