Cameron Johnson and the Denver Nuggets starting unit appear to be finding their rhythm late in the season, as noted by Vinny Benedetto of The Denver Gazette.

Johnson has been particularly effective this month, averaging 12.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.6 assists across 12 games while shooting efficiently from the field, three-point range, and the free-throw line.

He pointed out that the team’s offensive flow has been a major strength, but emphasized that improvement on the defensive end will be key moving forward.

“When we get going offensively, we’re really, really tough to stop. Now, we’ve got to match that with defensive intensity, transition defense, hitting the boards, boxing teams out,” Johnson said.

“(There’s) a lot of room for us to grow defensively and little ins and outs of the game. If we continue to improve on those areas, I think the ceiling for this team is extremely high, so it’s encouraging.”
