Sacramento Kings head coach Doug Christie recently discussed the group’s recurring issue with short offensive stints that lead to a lack of energy (19-54 record).

(via Sacramento Kings):

“For our group, it’s kinda been like that all year. It’s been a 60-second, a 90-second, a two-minute stint where we allow our offense to dictate how we’re playing on defense. If we think that we got fouled, we stop, talking to the ref. They get in transition, hit a three. We come back and let that energy leak into not getting set. Because when we get set up when I call a timeout, we run an ATO, they execute at a really, really high-level. And when we do get set up and organized, normally, we get ourselves a good shot. And good shots have a better chance of going in than rushed or contested shots.”
