Philadelphia 76ers forward Paul George has officially served his 25-game suspension for violating the NBA and NBPA’s anti-drug policy and is now cleared to return.

He is expected to be available when the Sixers host the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday.

Head coach Nick Nurse expressed confidence that George will be ready to contribute right away without needing extra time to get back into form.

“He’s worked hard, he’s conditioned hard,” Nurse said about the veteran forward.

During George’s absence, and with Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey also dealing with injuries, Philadelphia has dropped to seventh in the Eastern Conference standings.

While Embiid and Maxey are still sidelined, George’s return could provide a key lift as the Sixers look to move out of the Play-In range and secure a top-six playoff spot.
