FC Barcelona secured a 66-62 road win over Valencia Basket on Thursday night at Roig Arena, overcoming a late deficit in a game defined by half-court execution and defensive discipline.

The result ended a four-game losing streak for the Catalan side and improved its record to 18-14, keeping it firmly in the EuroLeague playoff race while also completing a 2-0 head-to-head sweep over Valencia.

Valencia entered the game averaging well above 76 points per contest but was held to a season-low 62 points, shooting just 22.2% from three-point range (6-of-27) and recording only 14 assists, both season lows.

Despite the offensive struggles, the hosts appeared in control late, taking a 60-55 lead with under three minutes remaining after consistent interior scoring and second-chance efforts.

Barcelona responded with its most effective defensive stretch of the night, forcing empty possessions while executing efficiently in the half court.

Jan Vesely sparked the comeback with a timely three-pointer before Joel Parra shifted momentum with a coast-to-coast finish to give Barcelona a 61-60 lead.

Parra, stepping into an expanded role with key absences in the frontcourt, produced 14 points and nine rebounds, including multiple decisive plays in the closing stretch.

After a missed shot by Kevin Punter, Parra secured an offensive rebound that led to a go-ahead three-pointer by Will Clyburn, putting Barcelona ahead 64-62 with 25.4 seconds remaining.

Parra then added a defensive steal on the next possession, allowing Clyburn to convert from the free-throw line and seal the outcome.

Clyburn led the visitors with 13 points, while Vesely added 11, as the trio of Parra, Clyburn, and Vesely combined for 38 of the team’s 66 points.

Barcelona also held a rebounding edge (39-31), creating additional possessions that proved decisive in a low-scoring contest.

For Valencia, Jean Montero led the scoring effort with 12 points, while several players contributed between 7 and 11 points, but the lack of perimeter efficiency limited offensive spacing late in the game.

With six regular-season games remaining, Barcelona will look to build momentum at home, starting with a Round 33 matchup against Anadolu Efes.

Valencia, currently fifth in the standings, will aim to bounce back quickly as it hosts Olympiacos in another key playoff-position clash.
