Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks is dealing with a knee injury involving hyperextension along with a bone bruise, and the team plans to check on his recovery again in about a week.

Despite the setback, he has been putting up strong numbers this season, contributing 27.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game while playing just under 29 minutes across 36 appearances.

Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks sit at 28-39, trailing the Charlotte Hornets by five games for the last play-in position in the Eastern Conference.

Their struggles place them among the bottom tier of the league, holding the 10th-worst record.

When it comes to draft positioning, the Bucks will end up with whichever first-round pick is less favorable between their own and that of the New Orleans Pelicans, who currently rank with the seventh-worst record.

Looking ahead, both Antetokounmpo and the organization are anticipated to evaluate their long-term direction together during the offseason, especially with an important contract extension decision looming in October.
