Playing Tuesday in only his fourth appearance since January after missing significant time with a calf strain, Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with 22 points against Phoenix Suns but caused a few anxious moments when he seemed to aggravate the same calf.

Afterward, head coach Doc Rivers addressed the situation and said the calf injury was not impacted, adding that the plays looked worse than they actually were, as noted by Jim Owczarski of The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

“I was scared,” he said, per The Athletic’s Eric Nehm.

“The one time he went down in the first half, he said he was fine, he just tripped over a guy’s foot, so there was no injury. And then he got hit in the groin. And I’m thinking that’s a calf, the way he went down … and then he was just winded.”

Antetokounmpo ultimately logged 32 minutes in the defeat, marking his highest playing time since January 23.
