Despite missing Stephen Curry for a 12th consecutive game because of a knee injury, the Warriors delivered one of their most resilient performances of the season with an overtime victory against the Rockets in Houston.

Entering the night, Golden State had gone 23-16 in games Curry played compared to just 8-14 without him, making the road win even more unexpected.

Before the game, the two-time MVP reached out to Draymond Green with a message of support that helped motivate the team.

“Keep going,” Curry told his teammate, according to Green. “I know it’s tough, but promise you, I’m coming back.”

Head coach Steve Kerr praised several standout efforts, calling it the best game of the season for Brandin Podziemski.

The young guard led the team with 26 points and pulled down five offensive rebounds while logging 40 minutes.

Kerr also said the Warriors received a vintage performance from Green, whose leadership and all-around play helped steady the group.

Two-way player LJ Cryer also provided an unexpected boost off the bench, scoring 12 points in 20 minutes after previously seeing limited action and missing several weeks with a hamstring injury.
