Alex Caruso and Isaiah Hartenstein both exited the Oklahoma City Thunder’s 103–100 victory over the New York Knicks on Wednesday night after suffering injuries during the game.
Caruso was diagnosed with a left hip contusion, while Hartenstein experienced tightness in his left calf.
Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault said both players were ruled out shortly after the injuries occurred and did not return to the game.
“They were just ruled out for the rest of the game,” Daigneault said. “We’ll evaluate them tomorrow, but when they went out, they weren’t coming back.”
Hartenstein has already dealt with calf issues earlier this season, including a stretch in late December when he missed 16 games because of a similar injury to the same leg.
Caruso said after the game that he was dealing with soreness but did not believe the injury was serious.
Despite the injuries, Oklahoma City managed to secure the win and continues to hold the top spot in the Western Conference standings.
