The Dallas Mavericks will face the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday at 7:00 PM ET at the Spectrum Center with multiple players sidelined or listed as questionable.

Kyrie Irving (left knee, surgery), Dereck Lively II (right foot, surgery), Marvin Bagley III (neck, sprain), and Naji Marshall (right finger, contusion) are confirmed out. Cooper Flagg (left midfront, sprain) and Klay Thompson (right adductor, contusion) are doubtful or questionable, while Caleb Martin (low back soreness) is probable. Additional two-way players Moussa Cisse, John Poulakidas, and Tyler Smith have questionable status. P.J. Washington (left ankle, sprain) is also listed as questionable.

Charlotte enters the contest coming off two straight wins, led by Brandon Miller and LaMelo Ball. The Hornets will be without G League assignments Tosan Evbuomwan, PJ Hall, Liam McNeeley, and Antonio Reeves. Coby White remains out due to left calf injury management.

Dallas has struggled recently, dropping back-to-back home games against the Memphis Grizzlies and Sacramento Kings. Cooper Flagg leads the Mavericks in scoring (20.4 PPG) and rebounds (6.6 RPG), but his questionable status could limit the team’s frontline effectiveness. Thompson contributes 11.5 points per game while shooting 37.8% from three, and his absence would reduce perimeter scoring.

Charlotte’s top scorers this season, Brandon Miller (21.0 PPG), Kon Knueppel (19.3 PPG), and LaMelo Ball (19.3 PPG), will be crucial against a depleted Mavericks squad. The Hornets hold a 7-3 record over their last 10 games and a four-game winning streak, giving them momentum heading into this matchup.

Tuesday’s game also has playoff implications, with the Mavericks sitting 12th in the Western Conference at 21-39 and the Hornets 10th in the Eastern Conference at 30-31.

Previous meetings this season saw Charlotte edge Dallas 123-121 on January 29.
