Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards and Pistons center Jalen Duren have been named the NBA’s Players of the Week for their respective conferences, the league announced Monday.
Edwards earned the Western Conference honor, while Duren received the award in the Eastern Conference following strong individual performances that helped their teams post winning records.
Edwards, selected to his fourth consecutive All-Star Game this season, led Minnesota to a perfect 3-0 record during a road stretch from February 23 through March 1.
The former No. 1 overall pick averaged 28.7 points, 5.0 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game, shooting .457 from the field, .357 from three-point range and .667 from the free-throw line while logging 37.7 minutes per contest.
Duren, appearing in his first All-Star season in 2025/26, powered Detroit to a 3-1 week behind dominant play in the paint.
The 22-year-old averaged 25.8 points, 13.8 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.3 blocks across 34.0 minutes per game, shooting an efficient 63.9 percent from the field and 73.5 percent at the free-throw line.
The NBA also announced the weekly award finalists. In the Western Conference, Saddiq Bey (Pelicans), Luka Doncic (Lakers), Kevin Durant (Rockets) and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Thunder) were among the nominees.
Eastern Conference nominees included Jalen Brunson (Knicks), Duren’s teammate Cade Cunningham, Jonathan Kuminga (Hawks), Tyrese Maxey (Sixers) and Brandon Miller (Hornets).
