The Memphis Grizzlies delivered one of their most complete performances of the season Sunday, beating the Indiana Pacers 125-106 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Taylor Hendricks scored 19 points off the bench, Jaylen Wells added 18, and Memphis shot 51% from the field in a wire-to-wire victory.
Olivier-Maxence Prosper finished with 17 points on 8-of-9 shooting, while Scotty Pippen Jr. and Rayan Rupert each contributed 16. The Grizzlies recorded 34 assists on 48 made baskets, a sign of consistent ball movement and spacing.
The visitors took control early in the third quarter, building a 77-66 lead four minutes into the period. Indiana never trimmed the deficit to single digits afterward.
Memphis capitalized on efficiency and depth. The Western Conference club hit 15 of 35 from beyond the arc and converted all 14 free-throw attempts. The second unit produced 56 points, with Hendricks knocking down five 3-pointers.
Pippen Jr. orchestrated the offense with 14 assists against just two turnovers. Walter Clayton Jr. added 14 assists and four steals, helping Memphis force 18 Indiana turnovers that led to transition chances.
Jarace Walker led the Pacers with 21 points on 8-of-10 shooting, including 4-of-5 from 3-point range. Micah Potter posted 18 points and nine rebounds off the bench.
Indiana shot 49% overall but struggled at the line, going 13-of-19. The Eastern Conference team also committed 18 turnovers, which stalled any sustained comeback attempt.
Memphis played without Ja Morant for the 17th straight game because of a left elbow injury. Rookie Cedric Coward missed the contest with a knee injury.
The Grizzlies also announced that center Zach Edey will undergo another procedure on his left ankle. The 7-foot-3 big man has been sidelined since Dec. 7.
Indiana was without Pascal Siakam for a second consecutive game due to a sore right shooting hand.
With the win, Memphis improved to 23-36 and remained 11th in the Western Conference standings. Indiana fell to 15-46, last in the East and 5-24 on the road.
The Grizzlies have now swept the season series for the third time in five years. Memphis travels to Minnesota on Tuesday night, while the Pacers head to Los Angeles to face the Clippers on Wednesday.
