Shaedon Sharpe of the Portland Trail Blazers has been diagnosed with a stress reaction in his left fibula, adding another setback as he continues treatment related to a left calf strain.
The injury will require a period of recovery and monitoring to ensure proper healing before he can safely return to game action.
The team announced that Sharpe will undergo a re-evaluation in approximately four to six weeks.
That timeline is intended to give the injury enough time to heal before he begins a gradual progression back toward full basketball activities and on-court conditioning.
Prior to the injury, Sharpe had been enjoying a strong season, appearing in 48 games while averaging 21.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.6 assists across 30.0 minutes per contest, continuing to establish himself as a key offensive contributor.
Before the season began, Sharpe and the Portland Trail Blazers reached an agreement on a four-year, $90 million contract extension, signaling the organization’s long-term commitment to the young guard as a central piece of its future plans.
