Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault had high praise for Isaiah Joe following the game, highlighting the guard’s steady contributions during a stretch in which the team has dealt with multiple injuries, as noted by Justin Martinez of The Oklahoman.
With several key players sidelined at different times, Joe has stepped into a larger role and delivered consistent production throughout February.
According to Martinez, Joe has averaged 16.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.6 steals across nine games this month while playing 26.4 minutes per contest and shooting an impressive 50.8% from three-point range.
His scoring efficiency and reliability have helped Oklahoma City maintain stability despite frequent lineup changes.
Daigneault emphasized how valuable Joe has been during a period marked by constant roster adjustments and a lack of continuity.
“He’s been unbelievable,” Daigneault said of the former second-round pick. “We’ve obviously endured injuries but also the fluidity of those injuries. It hasn’t been the same people out that have allowed us to get into a team rhythm.
“It’s just been a weird situation where the minute we get one guy back, another has gone out. He has been a stabilizing force.”
