The Dallas Mavericks ended a 10-game losing streak with a 134-130 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Sunday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Dallas improved to 19-36 and secured its first win since Jan. 22, while Indiana fell to 15-42 and 0-3 since the All-Star break.
Khris Middleton led the way with 25 points on 11-of-15 shooting. The veteran wing added seven rebounds and seven assists, helping stabilize the offense in late-game possessions.
P.J. Washington contributed 23 points and nine rebounds, attacking mismatches in the mid-post and finishing through contact. Marvin Bagley III recorded a 12-point, 11-rebound double-double off the bench to provide second-chance production.
Six Mavericks scored in double figures. Naji Marshall added 17 points, Max Christie had 16, and Brandon Williams scored 15 with seven assists and a team-best plus-15.
The Western Conference club shot 54% from the field and assisted on 29 of its 51 made baskets. It also overcame 11 turnovers by consistently getting into the paint and earning 32 free-throw attempts.
Indiana countered with efficient perimeter shooting, hitting 20 of 42 from 3-point range. However, the Eastern Conference side struggled to generate stops in key stretches.
Pascal Siakam returned from a three-game absence and finished with 30 points and eight rebounds. Andrew Nembhard posted 22 points and 11 assists, orchestrating the offense in transition and the half court.
Jarace Walker added 18 points, nine rebounds and six assists. Kobe Brown scored a career-high 15 points off the bench.
The Pacers were without Aaron Nesmith, Ivica Zubac and T.J. McConnell due to injuries.
Dallas rookie Cooper Flagg missed his third straight game with a sprained left foot and did not play in his only scheduled appearance in Indianapolis this season.
The visitors led 36-33 after the first quarter and 71-66 at halftime. A 12-3 run in the third period pushed the margin to 94-84 and forced Indiana into catch-up mode.
The home team trimmed the deficit to 117-114 midway through the fourth quarter. It never reclaimed the lead as Dallas executed in the final minutes and converted at the foul line.
Next, Dallas travels to face the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday. Indiana hosts the Philadelphia 76ers the same night.
