The San Antonio Spurs continued their surge in the Western Conference on Thursday night, rolling past the Phoenix Suns 121-94 at the Moody Center in Austin for their seventh straight victory.

San Antonio improved to 38-16, remaining second in the West, while Phoenix dropped to 32-23 after playing without several key contributors.

Stephon Castle led the way with 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting in just 21 minutes, adding four assists and three steals in an efficient two-way performance.

Victor Wembanyama contributed 17 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks in 25 minutes, anchoring a defense that held the Suns to 37% shooting from the field.

De’Aaron Fox finished with 15 points and eight assists in 22 minutes, helping orchestrate an offense that produced 30 assists on 45 made field goals.

San Antonio seized control early in the second quarter with a 13-0 run that turned a tight contest into a double-digit advantage.

Julian Champagnie knocked down two 3-pointers during that stretch, and Harrison Barnes completed a three-point play to fuel a 61-49 halftime lead.

The hosts widened the gap quickly after the break, as Castle, Wembanyama and Devin Vassell drilled consecutive 3-pointers in the opening four minutes of the third quarter.

That burst pushed the lead to 22 and effectively removed any suspense.

The Spurs shot 52% overall and 90% from the free-throw line, while outrebounding Phoenix 50-46 and limiting second-chance opportunities.

Dylan Harper added 17 points off the bench on 7-of-11 shooting, and Luke Kornet chipped in 10 points and nine rebounds to bolster the frontcourt.

The Suns struggled to generate consistent offense, finishing 12-of-42 from 3-point range and scoring just 94 points despite attempting 105 shots.

Jalen Green led Phoenix with 26 points on 11-of-23 shooting in his eighth game of an injury-affected season.

Mark Williams recorded 11 points and 10 rebounds, but the visitors lacked scoring depth.

Devin Booker played only nine minutes before exiting with right hip soreness, and Dillon Brooks served a one-game suspension after picking up his 16th technical foul of the season.

Grayson Allen also missed the game due to an ankle injury, leaving the Suns thin on the perimeter.
