Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic is expected to take part in the USA vs. the World All-Star tournament scheduled for Sunday.

The star guard recently missed the Lakers’ final game before the All-Star break after dealing with a hamstring injury, prompting caution from the team ahead of the midseason pause.

Despite sitting out that last matchup, Doncic appears to be progressing well in his recovery.

Reports indicated that he completed an encouraging workout on Thursday prior to the Lakers’ final pre-break contest.

Although the team ultimately chose to rest him for that game, his condition has improved enough for him to plan on seeing limited action during the All-Star event, where he is expected to play at least a brief stretch.
