Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr thinks that Gui Santos has taken major strides as of late (averaging 11.1 PPG/3.8 RPG/2.6 APG/1.1 SPG/1.0 BPG/60.3% FG/80.8% 2-PT/43.8% 3-PT/55.6% FT/72.4% eFG/23.5 MPG over the last eight games).

On recent play: “Gui has been fantastic, now, the last few weeks. Just his playmaking — especially without Jimmy [Butler] now — we’re going to rely on Gui to make plays. He’s deceptive with his moves. He has a knack for getting into the paint, and then kicking the ball to the right guy and finding open shooters. But he’s also shooting the ball well himself and he’s playing at a really, really high-level right now.”

On improved confidence: “A lot more confidence. This is how it works: you get consistent minutes, you have the confidence of your teammates and the staff. That’s when you really blossom, and I feel like he is blossoming right now.”
