Los Angeles Lakers wing Dalton Knecht is not pushing for a trade, but he is open to a change of scenery if the opportunity arises.

According to reports, Knecht would be receptive to a move to another team where he could see increased playing time and better establish himself at the NBA level.

Knecht was involved in trade discussions at last year’s deadline, when the Lakers agreed to send him to the Charlotte Hornets as part of a deal that would have brought Mark Williams to Los Angeles.

That transaction was later voided after Williams failed his physical.

During his year-plus in the league, Knecht has struggled to carve out a consistent role in the Lakers’ rotation.

While he has flashed potential when given opportunities, limited minutes have made it difficult for him to gain traction and fully settle into the NBA.
