The Utah Jazz have completed a major trade with the Memphis Grizzlies, landing Jaren Jackson Jr., John Konchar, Jock Landale, and Vince Williams Jr. in exchange for Walter Clayton Jr., Kyle Anderson, Taylor Hendricks, Georges Niang, and three future first-round draft picks.
Memphis had just finalized a renegotiate-and-extend deal with Jackson during the offseason that guarantees him $240 million over five years, but the franchise has since shifted course toward a deeper rebuilding process.
As part of the return, the Grizzlies will obtain the most favorable 2027 first-round pick among the Jazz, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Cleveland Cavaliers, in addition to the Los Angeles Lakers’ 2027 first-round pick and the Phoenix Suns’ 2031 first-round pick.
Jackson, a two-time All-Star and former Defensive Player of the Year, is 26 years old and remains under team control through a player option in 2029.
