The Atlanta Hawks visit the Boston Celtics on Wednesday, January 28, with tip-off scheduled for 7:30 PM ET at TD Garden. Atlanta comes in on a three-game winning streak, while the Celtics enter having won one of their last two.

Atlanta faces multiple injury challenges. Kristaps Porzingis will miss the game with left Achilles tendinitis, and N’Faly Dante remains sidelined after a right knee ACL tear. Zaccharie Risacher is out with a left knee bone contusion, while RayJ Dennis, Nikola Djurisic, Caleb Houstan, and Asa Newell are all listed as doubtful due to G League assignments or minor concerns.

Boston also has key players unavailable. Jayson Tatum will not play while recovering from right Achilles repair. Josh Minott and Neemias Queta are questionable, sidelined due to a left ankle sprain and a non-Covid illness, respectively.

The Hawks rely on Jalen Johnson, who leads the team with 23 points per game while averaging 10.4 rebounds and 7.9 assists. Nickeil Alexander-Walker contributes 20.3 points per outing, with Onyeka Okongwu adding 16.2 points and 7.9 rebounds.

Boston counters with Jaylen Brown, averaging 29.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game. Derrick White adds 17.6 points and 5.4 assists, while Payton Pritchard contributes 16.8 points per contest. Neemias Queta and Sam Hauser provide depth in the frontcourt, with Queta averaging 10 points and eight rebounds and Hauser producing 9.2 points per game.

Wednesday’s matchup features the 10th-seeded Hawks facing the second-place Celtics in the Eastern Conference. The Celtics have a 29-17 overall record, while Atlanta holds a 23-25 mark. Boston won the only previous meeting this season, 132-106 on January 17.
