Dubai Basketball delivered a commanding performance on Thursday night, cruising past Paris Basketball 99-79 at Adidas Arena to snap a two-game losing streak. The visitors jumped out early and maintained control, fueled by a balanced offensive attack and suffocating defense.
Filip Petrusev led the charge with a near-perfect performance, finishing with 21 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, and a 33 PIR, shooting 8-for-8 inside and 9-for-11 overall. Mfiondu Kabengele added 17 points, 6 boards, and 2 blocks, while Aleksa Avramovic contributed 7 assists as part of Dubai’s 26-team assists effort. Five players scored in double figures, underscoring the team’s depth and ball movement.
From the tip-off, Dubai set the tone with aggressive defense and selfless offense, building a 20-point lead by halftime. Paris struggled to keep pace despite a more determined effort in the second half, with Dubai extending the margin to secure the 20-point road victory.
Paris Basketball’s scoring was led by Jared Rhoden with 19 points, followed by Justin Robinson with 13. Daulton Hommes and Nadir Hifi added 10 points each. The hosts shot 42.1% from two, 37.5% from three, and 68.8% from the line, while tallying 32 rebounds and 15 assists, but turnovers and poor shooting early allowed Dubai to control the game.
The win improves Dubai’s record to 11-13, keeping their playoff hopes alive, while Paris drops to 7-16 with a difficult road ahead. Dubai will visit Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade next Friday, and Paris will host Real Madrid on Wednesday.
