Oklahoma City Thunder continued to set the NBA pace on Wednesday night as a dominant performance from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander powered a 122-102 road win over the Milwaukee Bucks at Fiserv Forum.
Gilgeous-Alexander finished with 40 points, 11 assists, and seven rebounds, carrying Oklahoma City despite five rotation players being sidelined due to injury.
The reigning MVP was ruthlessly efficient, shooting 16-of-19 from the field and controlling the game from the opening quarter.
Oklahoma City set the tone immediately, scoring the game’s first seven points and forcing Milwaukee into eight turnovers in the opening quarter.
Those mistakes fueled a 38-18 Thunder lead after one, a margin that never dropped below 14 the rest of the night.
The Thunder led by as many as 25 while closing a four-game road trip in which they went 3-1.
Ajay Mitchell gave Oklahoma City a major boost early, scoring 18 points in the first half before exiting in the third quarter with a hip bruise.
Kenrich Williams also scored 18 points, helping the Thunder shoot 54.4 percent from the field while maintaining balance despite a shortened rotation.
Oklahoma City played without Jalen Williams, Isaiah Hartenstein, Alex Caruso, Aaron Wiggins, and Jaylin Williams, but never allowed Milwaukee to generate sustained momentum.
Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 19 points, 14 rebounds, and seven assists, though his impact was muted as the deficit grew.
Milwaukee was also without Myles Turner and Kevin Porter Jr., further straining a rotation that leaned heavily on bench production.
Cole Anthony responded with 17 points off the bench, while Bobby Portis added 15 points and a career-high nine assists.
The Bucks received 46 points from their reserves but struggled defensively and committed 16 turnovers overall.
Milwaukee shot 49 percent from the field but was unable to keep pace with Oklahoma City’s ball movement and shot-making.
With the win, the Thunder improved to 36-8, maintaining the league’s best record and winning for the seventh time in eight games.
The Bucks fell to 18-24 and remained 11th in the Eastern Conference standings.
Oklahoma City returns home to host the Indiana Pacers on Friday, while Milwaukee stays home to face the Denver Nuggets.
