Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks is walking a disciplinary tightrope after moving within one technical foul of an automatic suspension.

His most recent whistle came Tuesday against the Miami Heat, giving him his 15th technical of the season, according to Clutch Points.

The latest penalty stemmed from a heated moment in which Brooks shoved Heat wing Norman Powell, an exchange that quickly drew the officials’ attention.

Under league rules, a player is suspended for one game upon receiving a 16th technical foul, with another suspension added for every two techs accumulated after that threshold.

Brooks is now far ahead of the rest of the league in that category, as no other player has even reached double digits in technical fouls so far this season.
