The recent uptick in consistency for the Golden State Warriors can also be traced to something far less flashy than scheme changes or scoring bursts: lineup continuity.
As noted by Monte Poole, the Warriors are finally getting extended stretches with the same combinations on the floor, and that steadiness is beginning to show in their results.
A major factor has been improved health across the rotation, particularly with De’Anthony Melton and Al Horford both returning to regular action after earlier absences.
Their availability has allowed head coach Steve Kerr to settle into predictable roles rather than reshuffling night after night.
Kerr acknowledged how much that continuity matters, explaining that keeping familiar lineups together has helped the team find rhythm on both ends of the floor.
He pointed out that having Melton and Horford healthy at the same time has made the roster look much closer to what the organization envisioned when they were added during the offseason.
According to Kerr, the combination of depth and health has allowed the team to build momentum instead of constantly resetting.
ICYMI: Jimmy Butler‘s work with the second unit has sparked the Warriors to an 8-3 record over their last 11 games. That + more on the Warriors. https://t.co/t6clMsJMMz
