Al Horford described his ongoing adjustment with the Golden State Warriors after Wednesday’s 120-113 win over the Milwaukee Bucks at Chase Center. “It continues to get better… most importantly, I’m feeling healthy again, which is good,” he said, highlighting his return from injury.

Coming off the bench, Horford contributed eight points, 10 rebounds, and six assists in one of his strongest performances since joining the team. “My impact I feel like it’s on anything that I have to do with winning… whether it’s rebounding, whether it’s assists… or being a floor spacer for the group,” he explained.

Horford praised De’Anthony Melton for his 22-point effort off the bench. “It was just good for him shooting it with confidence… being aggressive and getting to his spots when he needed to. Defensively, he brings a lot to us as well,” Horford noted.

The veteran center also commented on the team’s offensive improvements. “We’re turning the ball over less… our spacing is much better and we’re getting organized quicker… our guys are doing a better job of getting to spaces quickly so we can operate and move it a little bit,” he said, pointing to the Warriors’ 7-3 record over the last ten games.

Horford highlighted Draymond Green’s leadership and vision on the court. “Draymond does so much for the team… making passes that are very difficult… reading the game in real time… and he’s doing a better job taking care of the ball. We’re helping him too by getting to space and not clogging everything up,” he said.

Reflecting on his injury challenges, Horford acknowledged the difficulty of managing nerve issues. “Just very challenging… there’s soft tissue, aches, but the nerve thing is very tricky… our performance group has worked really hard to get me to this position… now I’m able to play more minutes and feel confident with my body.”

Horford also shared his excitement for competing against top-tier players like Giannis Antetokounmpo. “They’re always exciting… just fun… any time you get to compete with the top guys it’s always special,” he said.

With the Warriors now 20-18, Horford emphasized his focus on consistency. “How do I continue to have this type of games moving forward to help our team,” he said, signaling his commitment to impacting the team in multiple ways. Golden State will host the Sacramento Kings on Friday as they aim to continue their positive momentum.
