
The Boston Celtics travel to Los Angeles to face the Clippers on Saturday, January 3, at Intuit Dome with tipoff at 10:30 p.m. ET. Boston holds a 21-12 record and enters on a two-game winning streak, defeating Sacramento 120-106 on January 1. The Clippers sit at 12-21 but have won six straight, including a 118-101 victory over Utah.
Boston will be without Jayson Tatum, who is recovering from right Achilles repair, as well as Ron Harper Jr., Max Shulga, and Amari Williams, all sidelined with G League assignments.
Jaylen Brown leads the Celtics in scoring at 29.5 points per game and adds 6.4 rebounds and 5.0 assists, while Derrick White (18.3 points, 5.2 assists) and Payton Pritchard (16.9 points, 5.2 assists) provide secondary scoring.
Los Angeles will be without Bradley Beal (left hip fracture), Bogdan Bogdanovic (left hamstring, injury management), and Chris Paul, who is not with the team.
Kawhi Leonard averages 28.5 points and 6.5 rebounds, while James Harden contributes 25.9 points and 7.9 assists per game. Ivica Zubac leads the Clippers’ frontcourt with 15.6 points and 11.1 rebounds per game.
This matchup is the second meeting of the season; Boston won 121-118 on November 16.
