Washington Wizards closed out 2025 with a dramatic 114-113 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night at Fiserv Forum. The win pushed Washington to 8-24 and spoiled Milwaukee’s attempt to build its first three-game winning streak of the season.

CJ McCollum delivered the decisive moment, knocking down a pull-up jumper with one second remaining. The veteran guard finished with 18 points and capped a late surge by the Wizards.

Washington received balanced scoring throughout the night. Alex Sarr and Bub Carrington each scored 20 points, with Carrington drilling six three-pointers to fuel the comeback.

Milwaukee entered the fourth quarter holding an 88-86 lead after a late layup by Kyle Kuzma. That edge quickly vanished as the Bucks committed four turnovers in the opening two minutes of the final period.

Washington capitalized with a 13-3 run, highlighted by three straight three-pointers from Carrington. The burst gave the Wizards a 99-91 lead with just under 10 minutes remaining and shifted momentum sharply.

The Bucks responded behind Giannis Antetokounmpo, who scored 33 points and grabbed 15 rebounds. Milwaukee cut the deficit to 107-104 after seven straight points, including consecutive baskets by the two-time MVP.

Antetokounmpo briefly left the game with 5:14 remaining after a hard fall on a drive. Milwaukee failed to score on its next five possessions before he returned late and helped steady the offense.

After a traveling violation wiped out a potential basket, Antetokounmpo found Ryan Rollins for an open three-pointer that tied the game at 110 with 2:39 left. The Bucks briefly regained the lead on free throws by Myles Turner and Antetokounmpo.

Washington answered with poise in the closing seconds. McCollum created space at the top of the key and calmly knocked down the game-winner, silencing the home crowd.
