Atlanta Hawks closed 2025 with a decisive 126-102 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night at State Farm Arena, ending a seven-game losing streak. The result improved Atlanta to 16-19 and marked its first victory since mid-December.

Jalen Johnson delivered the most productive performance of his season, finishing with 34 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists after returning from a one-game absence due to illness. The forward shot 15-of-22 from the field and controlled the game on both ends.

The Hawks seized momentum in the second quarter, outscoring Minnesota 37-23 to build a 70-49 halftime advantage. Atlanta’s ball movement and defensive pressure limited the Timberwolves’ scoring options beyond their primary creators.

Anthony Edwards led Minnesota with 30 points and scored 24 before halftime, but support was limited. Julius Randle added 19 points, while no other Timberwolves starter reached double figures.
