Kristaps Porzingis is no longer listed on the Hawks’ injury report ahead of Wednesday’s game against the Timberwolves, according to Brad Rowland of Locked On Hawks.
The big man has missed 10 straight games and 14 of the past 15 due to an unspecified illness, but now appears ready to return.
Earlier this month, Porzingis said the issue was not related to postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, which sidelined him for an extended stretch during the 2024–25 season with Boston.
When available this season, he’s been highly effective, averaging 19.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.6 blocks in just under 26 minutes per game.
His return comes at a crucial time for Atlanta, which has dropped seven straight games and sits at 15–19.
The Hawks have struggled defensively, allowing at least 126 points in each of those losses and ranking near the bottom of the league in opponent field goal percentage.
Porzingis’ presence could help stabilize the team and also carries trade implications. With a $30.7 million expiring contract, he could become a valuable asset, especially as Atlanta has been linked to Dallas big man Anthony Davis.
Even if no deal happens, his availability strengthens the Hawks’ flexibility moving forward.
Jalen Johnson is also off the injury report after missing the previous game with an illness, while Trae Young remains questionable due to a right quad contusion.
