Real Madrid retain Liga Endesa title after win over Barcelona

Real Madrid have made amends for their disappointing Euroleague season by winning the Liga Endesa after a 91-84 win over rivals Barcelona secured a 3-1 series win in the finals.

After losing to Fenerbahce in the Euroleague quarter-finals, Real needed to bounce back to restore credibility and they more than restored their balance of power by outplaying their rivals from Catalonia in three straight games.

Sergio Llull claimed back-to-back Finals MVP honours as they led the way as he has done in the series with 21 points.

Tomas Satoransky and Ante Tomic both led Barcelona with 17 points in defeat.
