The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Sacramento Kings to snap their three-game losing streak with 125-101 on Sunday evening.
Lakers superstar Luka Doncic dropped 34 points, and LeBron James added 24, while Nick Smith Jr. had 21 off the bench, who had contributed four of six and all by at least 13 points.
On the other hand, Sacramento star DeMar DeRozan had 22, which has won consecutive games just once this season. Maxime Raynaud finished with 16, as the Kings had six players in double figures.
The Los Angeles found themselves in the second quarter, with Doncic dropping 15 of his 24 first-half points, ending the period with a 68-53 halftime score.
Smith stepped up and played a crucial role for the Lakers, scoring 10 points in just eight minutes while making all four of his field goals in the first half.
Head tactician JJ Redick chose Smith as a third-year shooting guard from Arkansas to be the next man up, stepping up for Austin Reaves, who was sidelined due to a strained left calf.
The Lakers kept the pressure up after the break when Doncic, James, and Rui Hachimura each knocked down three-pointers during a 13-2 run to start the third quarter that pushed the lead to 26.
The struggling Kings have not maintained the defensive improvement they showed over their previous four games, allowing the Lakers to shoot 52.8% from the floor.
Sacramento will visit the Clippers, while the Lakers will host the Pistons on Tuesday evening.
