Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves was unable to finish the team’s Christmas Day matchup after dealing with soreness in his left calf.

The discomfort limited his night to just under 15 minutes of action in the first half before the decision was made to hold him out for the remainder of the game as a precaution.

The timing was especially unfortunate, as Reaves had only recently returned to the lineup earlier in the week following a three-game absence.

Before heading to the locker room at halftime, he made an impact offensively by scoring 12 points against the Houston Rockets, providing a spark during the opening half.

After Reaves was ruled out, the momentum shifted noticeably. Houston took control after the break, creating separation on the scoreboard and ultimately cruising to a convincing road win over Los Angeles.
