Dillon Brooks scored 25 points and Devin Booker added 21 to lead the Phoenix Suns to a 132-108 rout of the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday at the Mortgage Matchup Center. Phoenix pulled away in the second half, outscoring the Lakers 45-29 in the third quarter to take control.
Mark Williams contributed 18 points and nine rebounds, while Collin Gillespie added 16 points as all five Suns starters finished in double figures. Booker also recorded 11 assists, helping Phoenix maintain offensive balance against a Lakers team missing Luka Doncic.
The Lakers got 23 points from LeBron James and 17 off the bench from Austin Reaves, who returned after a three-game absence. Los Angeles struggled shooting 48% from the field and 38% from three-point range, falling behind by double digits midway through the third.
Brooks scored 12 points in the decisive third quarter, shooting 10-of-15 overall, including 3-of-6 from deep, while Booker contributed seven of his points during the spurt. The Suns shot 72.7% in the quarter and took a 112-86 lead into the fourth.
Phoenix improved to 16-13 with the victory, winning two of three matchups against Los Angeles this season. The Lakers dropped to 19-9 and have lost consecutive games without Doncic, who is sidelined with a lower leg contusion.
The Suns will visit New Orleans on Friday, while the Lakers host Houston on Thursday.
