The Atlanta Hawks announced that center N’Faly Dante has been diagnosed with a torn ACL in his right knee and will miss the remainder of the 2025–26 season.
Dante is expected to undergo surgery in January, effectively ending his year before it truly began.
The injury occurred last week while Dante was playing for the College Park Skyhawks at the G League Winter Showcase.
He went down after twisting his knee awkwardly on a rebound and was unable to leave the court without assistance.
The timing was especially unfortunate, as it marked his first game back after recently clearing concussion protocol.
Dante joined Atlanta in the offseason after spending last year on a two-way contract with the Houston Rockets.
Although his deal with the Hawks was only partially guaranteed, the injury ensures he will receive his full salary for the season.
His loss further thins Atlanta’s depth, as he becomes the third fringe roster player this month to suffer a season-ending injury, following Jacob Toppin and Eli Ndiaye.
