The end of an Olympic dream after coming so close is always an emotional experience that no athlete should go through but unfortunately could happen if they represent their country at an elite level.

And today that mantle belonged to Korea as they were beaten in the fifth and final placed game for this summer’s Olympic Games in Rio by Belarus.

At the post-game press conference in Nantes, Korea coach We Sungwoo and Park Jisu took to the podium and while Sungwoo carried himself as dignified as he could but still visibly upset, Jisu was unable to control her emotions despite a brave run in the qualifiers that included a victory over the Belorussians in the group stages.

At the 2:27 mark of the press conference, Jisu shows her tearful emotion after being close to representing her country at the Olympics.
