The Los Angeles Clippers have made it clear to rival teams that they are not interested in tearing down their roster, despite a difficult start to the season.
According to league sources cited by DallasHoopsJournal, the Clippers have turned away trade inquiries involving James Harden, Kawhi Leonard, and Ivica Zubac, signaling a commitment to staying competitive rather than pivoting toward a rebuild.
Los Angeles currently sits at 6–20 and 14th in the Western Conference, a position that would typically prompt many teams to consider major changes. However, the Clippers’ long-term outlook complicates that approach.
Their 2026 first-round pick is owned by the Oklahoma City Thunder, reducing the incentive to bottom out and making a full teardown far less appealing to the front office.
Instead, the organization remains optimistic that internal improvement can shift the trajectory of the season.
Team officials believe that the return of Derrick Jones Jr., who has been sidelined with a knee injury, could provide a meaningful boost on both ends of the floor.
