Brad Wanamaker was the cornerstone behind another successful domestic season for Brose Baskets that also brought a strong Euroleague campaign where the newly crowned German champions reached the Top 16.

Starting all 24 games in the Euroleague for Bamberg, Wanamaker averaged 12.2 points, 4.0 assists and 1.3 steals a game. The recent success in the BEKO BBL also means that the Philadelphia native could suit up for Brose Baskets in Europe’s premier club basketball competition next season as well.

But Wanamaker is the target of several big name clubs, most notably, last season’s Euroleague runners-up Fenerbahce, who are keen to bolster their squad.

Wanamaker is unsure about what next season will bring, but admits that it will be difficult to leave a club for whom he has built a terrific bond with.

“My heart is here with Bamberg,” Wanamaker told Sportando.

“I love this team but I don’t know what will happen. If I leave this team, it’ll be very difficult for me.”

It is reported that Fenerbahce have offered a one-year deal for Wanamaker with the option of a second year worth €1million a season.
